He laughingly referred to my old, poor, idiotic, alcoholic days.

Him, driving around with me in my ol' Civic, with no brakes, me relying strictly on the hand brake.

Me, driving a stickshift, steering, and braking. All with two hands.

No brakes.

Ha ha ha.

I didn't know how to tell him that's how I drove home last night. . .
except it wasn't a hand brake; just a foot parking brake. . . .
