Query:

Are Republicans who were once appalled when their pinko counterparts called GWBush a "war criminal" and a "monkey" (and laughed at GWBush's manner of speech)

equally appalled when the current Prez is said by Repubs "not to love his country"?

Are Democrats who are appalled at the disrepect shown the president being selective in their memory of the things they, and their friends, said about GW Bush?

Yes, I know -- "they're NOT the same! MY guy is good, and the other guy is evil!"

Situational ethics suck.

It's why I'm bothered that Constitutional Scholar [um, teacher] BHObama was such an insightful lecturer about the Constitution and the role of the chief executive, continued his insight while in the Senate, and then promptly forgot it all. . . .

The Constitution didn't change; his needs did.

Since policies and outcomes are difficult to meaningfully link, I like to focus on process: how does one go about his bidness. I find humans wanting.

I'm still pissed that they called Lincoln "Honest Ape."

But Bellotoot, Lincoln didn't die in vain. He died in Washington, D.C.

Yes, he did. You know this.

But the Laura Keene thing didn't. That's not Americana.

Constitutional scholar [um, teacher] [er, OK not really a teacher but a short-term instructor, a lecturer, if you will] ... hey remember when peeps were freaking about the "unitary executive"? Heh. Those were the days.
