Jeepers. But in my defense, I liked her writing before I knew what she looked like.

I've known what she looks like [looked like] for a long, long time. Even though I, too, enjoyed her writing before that.

I watched her get overshadowed by the sociopath/psychopath [imho] Eliott Spitzer on their shared CNN shiow -- she was just too polite to call him "megalomaniacal asshole" to his face.

And she gets overshadowed on shows to this day -- Bill Maher's HBO show, weekend panels. She's just too thoughtful and reasonable to insist on the indefensible -- which is what they want from both sides.

But putting all that aside: hubba hubba !!!!

Maybe that's why I like her writing. She never comes across like a shill for a political point of view, but rather someone thinking about a question and looking for something resembling an actual answer, which is, as we know, never clean and facile bumper sticker material.

But definitely hubba-hubba.
