Fender American Standard ... ?

You, sir, know your Mule weirdness.

American Standard was indeed my silliness. But it's not a Fender; it's a different USA-made bass.

So the riddle is stretched out for few more moments.

Well I'm going to have to call in reinforcements to look at this. The harder I stare at it, the harder I can think of a USA bass that has that kind of notched deal at the end of each cutaway. But that's because in the end I don't know squat about bass guitars other than that I like 'em. But I'll be baaack with expert opinions after i call my lifeline, so pls. wait wait don't tell me.

My Dad used to have a collection of WWII-era cards that were designed to help spotters identify Japanese and Nazi planes by their silhouettes. I could use something like that to learn my guitar shapes. In case i'm ever attacked by a guitar.

To be honest, probably the only shapes I can reliably I.D. are the Tele and the Strat.
