took the plunge

my DE89bl
so i chose to go with the Derby blades [thanks to the czechs] for my first DE wet shave.*

my lady friend had picked up some Walker shaving soap, and I whipped up some lather in my shaving mug [mug courtesy of my lady friend's late grandfather].

derby was mounted in my brand-new,so-chromed-that-my-head-spins DE89bl from Edwin Jagger

my technique leaves a lot to be desired, but I didn't slit my throat

and I've loved witch hazel for long time, boyo

*I'll be going with Wilkinsons next time out

this was much less expensive than a new mandolin, or a synth bank

or a harley

or a br

My experience to date:

(1) Derby -- my favourite blend of close shave, comfort, retention of blood

(2) Personna -- comfortable, but unable to get as close a shave with my limited technique

(3) Merkur -- smoothest shave, most weepers

Still working on approach and technique

have had a better shave and time with my Edwin Jagger than with the Merkur 34C HD
