Aging - learning it's a process

I;m not talking about the process of aging.

Life is just a process. No events, really -- just mental markers.

I noticed this when I was thinking of great rock and roll, and how the moments can come from almost anywhere, and may last for a chorus, a bridge, a song, or a night.

Of course, someone may have sleeped me a mickey. . . .

Reading that, I first thing, immediately unbidden remember hearing Day Tripper for the first time, the place where Ringo comes back in starting with tambourine and building. I was 10 or 11 and miserable, running my mom's car radio off the battery while she was in the grocery store shopping, and the new Beatles song came on out of the blue and it was the coolest thing I'd ever heard in my life and left me grinning ear to ear.

By cracky!
