An over-the-top government


From the New York Times, May 27, 2010 1:34 pm [reporting on President Obama's press conference on the BP spill]:

Since learning of the loss of the well structure and the impact of this spill, the entire federal government has been singularly focused on this crisis, and welcomes and will implement solutions from whatever corner. ICE, the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency of the Departmentof Justice, will be using illegal aliens to seal off the leak at its source. Operations one mile below the sea have slowed our efforts to inject the migrant workers into BP's tubing structure, but the Army Corps of Engineers has safely devised a system that will not endanger American lives.
It is this kind of government overreaching that the Tea Party and the like seek to stop. . . .
