This Is the Modern World

so I strongly urged mister parker, the Mythical Monkey, to get his head out of the past and start anew. Quit reviewing 1930-1931 films and get modern.

My encouragement worked.

Last night, we caught a nice theatrical showing of

A Night at the Opera.

1935 never looked so good.

And Katie-Bar-the-Door didn't strike me roughly. . . .

PS as I told my Lady Friend, I certainly dig the pissed-off manicurist; she made the Stateroom Scene for me.

PPSS And who in his right-fucking mind calls it the "Crowded Cabin" scene.

Google reveals things I don't like . . . . .

The only thing funnier than the crowded cabin scene is the reflective surface scene in Duck Soup ...

Let's not forget the scene wherein Otter tells Flunder that Flounder erred. . . .

And of course, there's the large underground chamber where politicians and military personnel meet to manage world conflict scenes in Dr. Strangelove -- very funny.

I'm rather partial to the amusing antics of Chuck Chaplin's Little Homeless Person.
