I just thought you'd wanna know.
PS I am a big, big fan of Jeff Rice's original book, Richard Matheson's screenplay, and Dan Curtis's production of the teleplay. The original airing of The Night Stalker had 54% of all American television watchers casting their gaze upon its Vegas streets. . . .
4 Brilliant Observations By My Pals:
I was among the 54%.
And was a devoted fan of the show ...
I adored that show. Do you know that RTV runs episodes of McGavin as Mike Hammer--those are great, too.
CB
McGavin's Mike Hammer is essentially Cark Kolchak [born Karel Kolchak, I might add -- see Jeff Rice's book] with a better hat. Great show, that "Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer."
The show is on RTV nightly in many places. In DC it's on at 9:00 to 10:00 (two episodes) on Sunday nights!
Here's the link for the DC-area schedule; it's broadcast locally on a digital signal from WJLA (their WJLA-3, I believe).
Here's a list of RTV's catalogue o' shows. GREAT stuff for us geezers.
CB -- (1) does this mean you now have cable? Or is RTV also over the air on a DC digital OTA system?
(2) did you get my recent (late-October) e-mail lamenting my absence and my changed response to beisbol?
Dear Mister Muleboy,
Oh, dear, I had let that email slip, and I am sorry. I'll dig it up and respond right away. In the meantime, RTV is comes through my rabbit ears and converter box. I love it. Really big on "Run for your Life" and "The Bold Ones" these days (rainy weekend days). I've been crushing on McGavin since childhood--Kolchak (and his camera). It would be great if RTV could get that on. More in a proper email.
