Les Paul is Dead

I love the Les Paul guitar.

I enjoyed the music of Les Paul.

I found him entertaining.

He died today.

His technical innovations were crucial to music as we know it.

The multitrack recording system.

"Overdubs"

Les fucking Paul

I had the pleasure of seeing him perform. Just once, and he was admittedly an old man. He noodled away --occasionally with a spark of twinkling life.

I love the Les Paul guitar.

My first guitar was a Les Paul Pro.

Soap bars.

Gahd I love the Les Paul guitar.

Wow. Am sorry to hear that, altho he obviously had a good long run with life. Aside from the guitar, had no idea how much he'd contributed to recording until watching a fine documentary about him last year. Fascinating. RIP, Mr. Paul!

This is truly sad news. It means less Paul for all of us.

Maybe this is a sign that I should finally get my guitar strings replaced now and then learn to play a song or something. Maybe it's a sign for everyone.

I also loved his example of living long and having fun the whole time while you're at it. This whole mortality thing is weird though, if you ask me ... you mean, none of us are going to get out of this alive?? Now, I'm sorry, but that strikes me as just plain weird.
