Those Whacky Kids Down ON Grand STreet
So I've learned that Sonnny Rollins moved to Grand Street in 1956, long before he went Up on the Bridge.
Now it turns out he lived at 400 Grand, which is a couple'a blocks west o' m' pals up there, those two whacky betrothed jazz types.
But I feel that proximity can work magic, and I'm hoping that the next time they're walking west on Grand, and get 'twixt Clinton and Norfolk, that they'll soak up some of the magic of the Saxophone Colossus.
PS Dumb mistermuleboy and DUmb tomanonymous had a chance to sit on the Kennedy Center stage with Sonny Rollins, and each chose not to.
Have I mentioned dumb?
