Generation X

So l'il Spike Priggen ran this YouTube video of Generation X, late in their existence, working up Kiss Me Deadly.

I've always had mixed emotions about Billy Idol; the punk-rock wrestler that he eventually became bugged the shit outta me, and his singles as a solo artiste were catchy, but sounded ugly and angering to me.

But Generation X were amazing, IMHO. They were fucked from the git-go; they were following the first wave, and they were always going to be poncy pretender effers.

But "Ready Steady Go" moves me, as does almost everything on that first record.

And Kiss Me Deadly and Dancing With Myself were pretty damned fine too.
