So Steve Martin made a couple of movies that are quite popular with many of my friends. These flicks have their admirers.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Plains, Trains, and Automobiles are dug by folks.
I've tried to give them a higher place on my appreciation scale, but I don't quite get there.
I'm not hating -- in fact, I've wanted to like them, and him, more than I do, but I haven't been able to cross over.
Now that I think about it, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid and The Man With Two Brains are also not liked by me.
And I guess The Jerk and . . .
I'm not coming up with Steve Martin films that I like. I guess roxanne worked for me in its time.
I'll have to visit the imdb and ponder.
I didn't hate him in Baby Mama, and I entirely missed his performance in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I wasn't too keen on him in his heyday.
Although he was huge; I'm trying to think of others near his scale at the same [pre-stand-up-boom] time, and no one comes to mind [R. Williams followed].
Okay, since I hate R. Williams, and seem not to care for S. Martin, maybe there was something about comedians at that time that didn't sit well with me.
