I don't think it's weird that
I
sit around at
lunch
reading
Dennis Martinez's
Hall of Fame
vote tallies. . .

That's a very Zen proposition. What is the sound of one hand clapping? How long a long lunch break do you need to read about zero Hall of Fame votes? If a tree falls in the woods...

You just wish it were zero, baby. . . .

No one else named Martinez has ever felt the sweet, sweet surge of major-league victory as often as Dennis Martinez. No one.

Or lost as many games.

But yo I ain't haytin' on no El Presidente, one of the most unforgettab;e .500 pitchers the game has ever known. Who could ever forget 1991, the year he went 14-11 and came in fifth in the Cy Young voting?
