Bobby Fischer is Dead

Well, there goes another great humanitarian . . .


Reading this quote from the NYTimes, I was reminded of myself:

But Mr. Fischer was incapable of sustaining himself in the limelight, and by the beginning of 1973, he had withdrawn into the weird, contrarian solitude he more or less maintained for the remainder of his life.

Well, excepting um, I was never in the limelight, and, um, I was never a genius chess player.

But I do live in weird, contrarian solitude!
