thank you

I owe my ex-wife athank you.

In the late 80s and early 90s, before I had become a shit [or before our relationship changed, if you're being charitable], we had two little blonde babies at home. She was incredibly supportive and helpful regarding my band, Broken Promise, and afforded me every opportunity to work on that thing.

THe band was a very, very serious endeavour, even though we weren't at all interested in being rock stars, or world domination [got that out of our systems, sadly]. But maybe because of that, we were very serious, and worked on the music [if not giging] a lot. A lot of reh'l, and a fair amount of gigging. Alli* was always working hard to make that possible.

Which, in retrospect [and I think I acknowledged at the time as well] was pretty damned cool.

Don' tell her, of course . . .
