Two Thums Up for Kelly's Heroes

I loved the scene where the Shermans came out of the train tunnel and blew shit up . . .

It was actually my dad's favourite scene in the flick. He was so amused [although his senses of continuity and authenticity were mightily offended] by the Oddball character that Oddball was his focus. When they started cranking out the music my dad grew up on [I've Been Working on the Railroad] and blowing up krauts, the ol' man went over the top.

We saw the flick in downtown Kansas City while on home leave in the summer o' '72.

Am I a nincompoop? Soitenly!

I kid because I love. . .
